Making the Most of Your SEMA Experience
The SEMA Experience
Making the most of your time at SEMA
The impact is what SEMA is all about. These tips and tricks will help you make the most of your time at SEMA.
The good people at SEMA make is
SEMA is the great automotive PR machine. Not only do they have the attention of corporate giants such as Aramark and Compusystems but also every ear of more than 60,000 domestic and international buyers. And they have put those ears to good use by creating an ongoing press release scroll. Releases can be submitted daily, weekly, monthly, whenever you have something to share. They make it really easy to submit and an editor will tell you if you need to add crucial information. Don’t forget to put your company name into the press release title. To learn how to submit go to their "submit a press release" page.
SEMA wants you to succeed. You know that proverb about rising waters? (It’s in the first paragraph) Well, they feel the same way. For this reason, they created a plethora of free and pay-to-attend education sessions that run from November 2-6th. Class subjects include Business Technologies, Emerging Markets, and Women Driven. Check out the entire list for details on times.
New Product Showcase
Perhaps one of the coolest features of SEMA is the New Product Showcase. This is an opportunity to get some extra publicity for your products through increased exposure and special promotions. New products are why everyone attends SEMA. Buyers want to be kept abreast of all the latest and greatest in the automotive world. Keep yourself front and center by taking advantage of this SEMA service. The first entry is free, then all other entries are $75 each which is not cost prohibitive. There’s no limit on the number of products you can enter. Check out the SEMA New Product page for all the details.
Make an Appointment With Your Favorite Exhibitor (wink wink)
Your best SEMA experience will include information and connections. You’ll keep your booth manned at all times of course, but make sure you make the rounds and talk to the distributors and manufacturers that you want to work with or whose work you admire. But SEMA is a busy place and sometimes you finally get to the one booth you were looking forward to connecting with and they’re all busy chatting up other people. Do you wait? Do you leave and come back? Whaddya do? Make an appointment! Contact the exhibitors you want to get to know and ask them if you can stop by at a certain day and time. It doesn’t have to be an hour-long conversation, just a few minutes and be sure to come with prepared questions. And what? What’s that you say? Braun Automotive is your favorite exhibitor? Awww shucks, we’re touched. We love you too and we want to talk to you at SEMA. Come and check up out at booth #12742 in the North Hall or contact Peter@brush.com to make an appointment.
